Cliff Wright is most famous for the wonderful illustrations he did for two of the Harry Potter books. We are delighted that he will be running two workshops for us at Make it Up North plus a talk on Friday 4th October - book now!

Workshops for adults and children 10+

'Nature of Seeing' - Explore your true creative potential through the medium of drawing.  Whether we are experienced or not, all of us to some extent draw that which we think we see - the workshop aims to go beyond how we normally perceive to reveal the often-hidden artist within.

*There are only 10 places on each of the two workshops Cliff will be running for us...so you'll have to be quick to get booked on. For 10 Children aged 10+ accompanied by teachers/teaching assistants.*

Cliff Wright - Artist Talk

Friday October 4th, 4.00pm - 5.00pm.

A unique opportunity to attend a talk by Harry Potter ilustrator Cliff Wright surrounded by the beautiful and magical Council Chambers in The Guildhall in York city centre.

This informal talk will be divided into two halves.  Firstly, Cliff will chat about his work, including the illustrations made for two of the Harry Potter book covers, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.  The second part will focus on discoveries on the creative potential within us all, found through many years of teaching drawing on his well known Nature of Seeing workshops and courses.

Tickets to this talk include free entry in to Make It Up North main show on either Saturday or Sunday and also any other artist talks on the day you visit.
