Fiona Cameron - Mixed Media




Fiona Cameron has been making enamelled jewellery since she graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1999. Recently her work has developed into small scale 3d and wall hung pieces for the home. Inspired by the many weird and wonderful collective nouns for many different species of birds, she produces delightful small enamelled sculptures and framed items in beautiful colours to delight and brighten all the nooks and crannies of your home. - 


What inspires you in your art?
Colour, pattern, folklore, comedy.



What medium do you work in?
copper, wires, enamels, wood, found objects


What are you looking forward to at Make it Up North?
Meeting New makers and visitors, showing in a historic and beautiful venue!


What work are you showing at the event?
Enamelled artwork both 2 and 3d, many old favourites and a few new faces!


Have you any exciting news to share?
Im taking my work down to London for the first time, to show at the 02. A 3 day event called Handmade Christmas on the13th, 14th and 15th December, very excited!


If you could sit in a room with any artist….who would it be and what would you ask them?
Van Gogh, we would sit and talk about colour!
